TOM FARQUHAR
March 22, 1953 – December 19, 2024
With deepest sorrow we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father and friend, Tom Farquhar on December 19, 2024. Tom was born to Thomas Sr. and Marion Farquhar on March 22, 1953. Tom was a man of compassion and wisdom, dedicating his life to building and strengthening communities and serving others. Tom and Lise were happily married for 35 years, living on and off the Island. They eventually rejoined the community of Mindemoya in 2020. Tom spent his last few years puttering around the kitchen, taking every opportunity to cook for and feed anyone who stopped by to say hello. He also spent countless hours connecting with friends and family and doting on pictures of his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren through Facebook. Tom will be lovingly remembered by his loving wife, Lise Farquhar (née Lapointe); his children Shauna (Vern), Adrienne (Kevin), Nikki (Todd), Carl (Lee Anne) and Kelly (Jason); was Poppa to many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his step-mom Linda Farquhar and siblings Linda (Jim, deceased), Bill (deceased), Victoria (Herb), Shirley, James (Shannon) and Ruth. Family and friends will be gathered together to Celebrate the Life of Tom on Saturday, December 28, 2024 from 1 to 4 pm at the Mindemoya Hall located at 6302 Hwy 542, Mindemoya.Donations can be made to Community Living Manitoulin.
