One earthquake away from disaster
To the Expositor:
Nuclear waste! How dangerous is it?
The Waste Management Committee has been looking for a safe place for the deadly waste for years because really no place is safe because of possible groundwater pollution from earthquake action that has been felt here in the North Shore area and on the Manitoulin.
If those thick cement containers ever get cracked open the area becomes inhabitable. In the end the waste disposal site will go to the place that is already heavily polluted.
