Theresa and Ken, Brad and Bill, birthday cakes and the Birthday Song for Marilyn and Dave. Nice photos, scenery on the screen, good coffee, good lunch (my impressions of the euchre tournament at Providence Bay), a nice Tuesday night, too, for a car ride. Thanks, Betty Jean. I did a bit of baking today, still reading too much.

Did March slide in quietly? I don’t know how quiet it was in Ottawa, for tonight we got another brand spankin’ new baby! Derek Anderson Hall was born at 8:21, March 1, and weighed in at 7 lbs 14 oz. My fifth great-grandchild, and a new brother for Desmond and Declan. Proud parents Amelia and Tory. Proud grandparents Derek and Jodi of McKenzie B.C.
Bid euchre results, Thursday: Laurene, 248; Hank, 178; Simon, 176; door prize, Linda; 50/50, Janet Dunn.
Baked two kinds of cookies for the kids’ winter fun day.
I probably shouldn’t have started watching TV again. I’m about two weeks in since last June. You know I really didn’t miss it that much. I did enjoy the last week of the Olympics. Tonight, I had the Gaither Gospel hour on and I really missed Mum. This was one program we discussed on Friday nights. Tonight, it was 150 years’ talent combined with the Gatlin Brothers and the Oak Ridge Boys. The last song/ part “Cherish the Moments.” They slip through our fingers like sand, don’t wait for tomorrow. We have this moment today! Haven’t our past few days been almost perfect; spring-like air, moonlit nights. But I’m sure March has a few surprises up her sleeve yet!
Jude McDougall did the sermon at Fairview Sunday. Went to church with Mary O. Went for lunch with Joan and Borden in Joan’s nice new car. On the 18th of March we’re having a church service at the hall, 11:30. Pot luck and music after, $5, everyone is welcome!
Tara just brought me home. Ray took me down to Sherry and Dave’s for supper. Cribbage we two; Tara was putting another puzzle together. They seem to be working on something new every week. Earlier in the day, Sherry, Skylar and I went to the indoor yard sale at the church in Mindemoya. Always get to visit. Than, too, visited Marion Case at the hospital; she was having a bad day! We had lunch at Chill and Grill. After we came home, Skylar and Sherry got into a broomball game, around at their Fun Day. I hear there was a good turnout, a lot of fun stuff, and games, and lots of good food. Sounded great!
This Sunday is Seniors’ pancake breakfast, cards, euchre at 1:30 pm and a Roll and Bowl supper. Separate pricing.
Pauline called this Monday morning. They are great-grandparents again too. Sara and Alex had a baby boy, 7 lbs and?. His name is Noah, he was born 7 pm, Sunday evening. Congratulations everyone.
The lost is found! Mollie was missing. Susan called to see if I had heard from her. She had spent a few days in the hospital in Winnipeg with a bad flu bug, on I.V. She just got out of the hospital Sunday afternoon.
