SOCHI, RUSSIA – Brad Jacobs, Ryan Fry, E.J. Harnden, Ryan Harnden and Caleb Flaxey have won a gold medal in men’s curling, beating Great Britain at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games. Team Jacobs continues Canada’s dominance on the ice, winning a third consecutive Olympic gold.

In capturing this gold medal today for Canada, they have established themselves as one of the premier curling teams in the world,” said Marcel Aubut, President, Canadian Olympic Committee. “On behalf of the entire Canadian Olympic family, I congratulate Brad, Ryan, E.J., Ryan and Caleb on their Olympic success.”
Combined with Team Jones’ gold-medal win on Thursday, this marks the first time in Olympic history that one country has swept both the men’s and women’s curling gold medals.

Canada now has 23 medals at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games (9 gold, 10 silver and 4 bronze).
