PROVIDENCE BAY— Budding writers are encouraged to spend a Sunday salon with bestselling author Gail Anderson-Dargatz at her summer house in Providence Bay this Sunday, August 16 from 10 am to noon.
Ms. Anderson-Dargatz is the author of international best sellers ‘A Recipe for Bees’ and ‘The Cure for Death by Lightning,’ both of which were finalists for the prestigious Giller Prize in Canada.
Tickets are just $35 per person and available at the door, but as space is very limited, registration is required.
“The novel can be an intimidating form, even for an experienced writer,” Ms. Anderson-Dargatz states. “But the novel is a friendly beast, once you get to know it.”
In this two-hour workshop participants will look at the things writers are most afraid of when approaching the novel. Ms. Anderson-Dargatz will offer tips on both writing and publishing your book and help you to overcome those fears. Coffee and tea will be provided.
To register and get directions, email Gail’s office at: books@gailanderson-dargatz.ca and please check out Gail’s website for tips from many other writers under “guest blogs” at www.gailanderson-dargatz.ca
