SUDBURY–On Tuesday August 25th at 02:15 pm, a 21 year old woman was returning to her residence on Lloyd Street when she was confronted by two men. One of these men was known to her as Devland McCoshen (33 years), a resident of the City of Greater Sudbury.
McCoshen and a second unknown male were waiting for the victim in the hallway outside the victim’s apartment.
An altercation took place where the woman was threatened as well as assaulted by both parties. She received a stab wound from a knife and she was taken to Health Sciences North where she was treated for non-life threatening injuries and released. It is the belief of investigators that the victim was targeted in this case by the accused, McCoshen.
As a result of this incident, arrest warrants exist for Devlin McCoshen (33 years) of the City of Greater Sudbury for the following offences:
- Aggravated Assault;
- Assault;
- Possession of a Weapon Dangerous to the Public Peace;
- Uttering Threats to Cause Death;
- Intimidation of a Justice System Participant; and,
- Breach of a Probation Order.
Police are asking Devlin McCoshen to seek legal counsel and turn himself in.
