Despite raining all day, it didn’t curb the enthusiasm of the participants in the eighth annual Meldrum Bay ATV Ride, held this past Saturday.
“We had a very good turnout, and the largest number of bikes and riders than we have ever had before which was great, especially considering the weather conditions,” said Lee McDonald, one of the organizers.
A total of 97 vehicles and 170 people participated in the event. Lunch was enjoyed by many of the participants and door prizes were drawn at the lunch. Proceeds raised from the event goes to the Dawson Citizen’s Improvement Association community association to help allow the group to maintain the local hall, marina and campground.
