Stocking letter hits the nail on the head

To the Expositor:

I read an article in last week’s paper from Bob Lewis (‘Don’t blame the ferry service for the drop in the tourist trade,’ July 10, page 4). He has hit the nail on the head.

South Baymouth in the past has been alive with anglers from all over but now the fishing has become very slow and the once-filled harbour has only a few boats the trailer parks and other businesses are struggling. We need our government to step up to the plate and start stocking the lakes again.

I am sure that there are other little towns that have the same problem.

Let the Ministry (of Resources) know by showing your support and contacting the necessary people to help keep the Island alive.
