Spring Bay Rural Route

November 17—November is giving us quite a lot of snow and cold weather. The hunters will like some snow for hunting. Please be careful as there are so many hunters here this week.

We extend sympathy to the Henderson family in the sudden passing of Geraldine. Her funeral was Tuesday morning at the United Church in Mindemoya. Geraldine was born and raised here on the 12th Line.

On November 8 at the Spring Bay Community Centre a Come and Go Tea was held to celebrate Allan and Rosemarie Eagleson’s 50th wedding anniversary. A number of people attended and enjoyed the afternoon. The family went out afterwards for dinner. Congratulations to them!

A euchre tournament will be held at the Spring Bay Community Hall on November 28. All are welcome.

Don and Betty Greenman are here for the deer hunt at Lance and Lillian Greenman’s. Lillian and Betty are visiting me this week.

A number of people attended the Christian Women’s meeting and noon luncheon at Abby’s Restaurant on Monday.

St. Francis Anglican Church ladies are having their Christmas bazaar, bake sale, and luncheon at the Mindemoya Community Hall on Saturday, November 22 at 11:30 am. Soup, sandwiches, and dessert will be served.

Tuesday night was the fowl supper at the Providence Bay Community Hall sponsored by the Community Centre Board.

Get well wishes to all who are sick and God’s blessing to all.

We extend sympathy to the Seabrook family in the passing of Marion; she will be missed.
