We’ve had our first snowfall…last weekend…some 2” which is still here at the lake.

Our feeders are attracting a variety of birds and a shallow box we put shelled peanuts in is attracting squirrels. The box is at eye level from one of our front windows and out cat spends a great deal of her time watching it and pawing at the window in an effort to get out to ‘play’ with them.

Hopefully, the hunt has substantially decreased the Island deer population!

A little boy opened the big old family bible. He was fascinated as he fingered through the old pages. Suddenly something fell out of the bible and landed on the floor. When he looked, the boy saw an old leaf that had been pressed between the pages. “Mama, look what I found” the boy called out. “What have you there, dear?” With astonishment in his voice, the young boy answered, “I think it’s Adam’s underwear.”
