Snowmobiling trail system, picket lines open

MANITOULIN—The ice is thick enough on area lakes, so the snowmobile picket lines are now in place around Manitoulin. As had been previously reported by the Manitoulin Snowdusters Club, all trails are officially groomed and open on the Island.

Doran McVey, a member of the Manitoulin Snowdusters Snowmobile Club told The Recorder on Friday of last week, “the picket line is now in to Spanish from Gore Bay as are the lines for Little Current to Killarney, Little Current to Whitefish Falls and to Killarney, and a new line from Honora Bay to M’Chigeeng.
“(This) week the picket line will be put in from Smith’s Bay to Silver Water,” added Mr. McVey.
