M’CHIGEENG–Members of the UCCM Police Service with the assistance of the OPP canine unit executed a Controlled Drug and Substances Act Search Warrant (CDSA) at a residence on the M’Chigeeng First Nation Monday evening, February 1.
As a result of that CDSA warrant, six people in the residence were arrested. Additionally, officers seized $1,400 worth of various illicit drugs that included crack cocaine, marijuana, hydromorphone and cannabis resin along with approximately $1,500 dollars in cash and proceeds.
Of the six people arrested two men were from southern Ontario and four, including one female, were from the M’Chigeeng First Nation.
A 35-year-old male of Ajax has been charged with possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, possession of schedule l substance for the purpose of trafficking cocaine; possession of schedule l substance for the purpose of trafficking other drugs CDSA 5(2); possession of schedule ll substance, cannabis marijuana under 30 grams; possession of a schedule ll substance, cannabis resin under 1 gram; fail to comply with recognizance, four counts. The accused remains in custody pending bail at the Wikwemikong Court on February 2.
A 32-year-old male of Kawartha Lakes was charged with: possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000; possession of schedule l substance for the purpose of trafficking cocaine; possession of a schedule l substance for the purpose of trafficking other drugs; possession of a schedule ll substance, cannabis marijuana, under 30 grams; possession of a schedule ll substance, cannabis resin under 1 gram; and fail to comply with conditions of undertaking given by officer in charge. The accused remains in custody pending bail at the Wikwemikong court on February 2.
A 23-year-old male of the M’Chigeeng First Nation has been charged with: possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000; possession of a schedule l substance for the purpose of trafficking cocaine; and possession of a schedule l substance for the purpose of trafficking other drugs.
The accused was released on an undertaking before an officer in charge and is scheduled to appear on March 21.
A 49-year-old male years of the M’Chigeeng First Nation has been charged with: possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000; possession of a schedule l substance for the purpose of trafficking cocaine; possession of a schedule l substance for the purpose of trafficking other drugs; possession of a schedule ll substance, cannabis marijuana, under 30 grams; and possession of a schedule ll substance, cannabis resin under 1 gram. The accused was released on an undertaking before an officer in charge and is scheduled to appear on March 21.
A 27-year-old male of the M’Chigeeng First Nation was charged with: possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000; possession of a schedule l substance for the purpose of trafficking cocaine; possession of a schedule l substance for the purpose of trafficking other drugs; possession of a schedule ll substance, cannabis marijuana, under 30 grams; and possession of a schedule ll substance, cannabis resin under 1 gram. The accused was released on an undertaking before an officer in charge and is scheduled to appear on March 21.
Lastly, a 48-year-old female of the M’Chigeeng First Nation has been charged with: possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000; possession of a schedule l substance for the purpose of trafficking cocaine; possession of a schedule l substance for the purpose of trafficking other drugs; possession of a schedule ll substance, cannabis marijuana, under 30 grams; and possession of a schedule ll substance, cannabis resin under 1 gram. The accused was released on an Undertaking before an Officer in Charge and is scheduled to appear on March 21.
Earlier that day, the 35-year-old accused of Ajax had just appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice in Gore Bay for previous drug trafficking offences when UCCM Police found him involved in the same drug activity on the M’Chigeeng First Nation.
