Significant rainfall potential today into Saturday.
A complex low pressure system over the Southern Plains States will track northeastward to reach Lake Superior by Saturday. Periods of rain are expected to develop ahead of the low this afternoon or this evening and then continue into Saturday. Thunderstorms are also possible during this period. A rainfall warning has been issued for regions including Searchmont and Agawa due to high rainfall amounts expected. Regions listed in this statement could see local amounts in the 40 to 80 mm range by midday Saturday, especially if thunderstorms occur, and may be added to the rainfall warning.
