Sherry Forest Rink wins annual Providence Bay Ladies Bonspiel

PROVIDENCE BAY—The Sherry Forest Rink has won the Providence Bay Curling Club Annual Ladies Bonspiel held this past weekend.

The Sherry Forest skipped rink, which also included vice Heather Hall, second Sue Whynott and lead Jill Patterson were awarded the Glenda Campbell Memorial Trophy as winner of the first event.

Runner-up in the first event was the Nancy Leeson team of Mae Bowerman, Lori Leeson and Janet Anning.

The Helen Gordon Rink won the second event over the Angela Johnston Rink. Helen Gordon had Kim Cooper, Irene Callaghan and Ardith Koski on her rink.

Runner in the second rink was the Angela Johnston Rink which included Bev McDermid, Patti-Jo Woods and Lisa White.

In the third event the Shannon Drouin skipped rink, with Andrea Tann, Anna Love and Tammy Groombridge took first place. The runner-up was the Ellen Holroyd Rink, which included Nancy Head, Leslie Morin and Judy MacKenzie.

A total of 16 rinks took part in the annual bonspiel.
