assig-xmas2 — There was a huge crowd on hand for the tree lighting ceremony at Queen’s Park in Manitowaning on December 6. The Assiginack Public School (APS) choir provided musical entertainment along with the APS Bucket Drummers. Members of the Assiginack Volunteer Fire Department brought along a special guest, Santa Claus, to add to the festivities. Hot chocolate was provided for all. It was a family affair for the Morabito clan as dad, firefighter Bryce, on the right, mom Emily, left, and young Nolan all met Santa that evening. photo by Jackie White
