Ronald Frederick Ense

December 6, 1959 – November 9, 2012

In loving memory of Ron Ense, a resident of M’Chigeeng, who began his spiritual journey at his residence, on Friday, November 9, 2012. He was born in Mindemoya, son of the late Harold and Beatrice (Debassige) Ense. Ron owned and operated Abby’s Dining and Catering for many years. He was passionate about cooking, and it showed in the meals he prepared. He also loved to read, sing, and had sung in the church choir, and tell stories. He loved to laugh and make others laugh, and his story telling entertained everyone, as they always contained lots of humour. He also loved to ride around with Zoe and Chloe, and was a compassionate friend of all animals, saving many strays. Ron was truly a “character” and was loved by all who knew him. He loved to visit with people. His greatest pleasure in life was his family, and he truly was loved by each and every one of them. Even throughhis illnesses in the past while, Ron still kept a smile and kept his humour the best he could. Many, many happy memories will be cherished. Ron is survived by his loved and loving family, Martin (Justeen), Sadie (Eldridge), Gerald (Debbie), Geraldine (Bill), Ken, Abby, Norma (Gary), Elsie (Patrick), Jay (Missy) and sister-in-law Janette, Floyd predeceased. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews and numerous friends. In keeping with Ron’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Relatives and friends are invited to Abby’s Dining and Catering after 11 am on Wednesday, November 14, 2012. The funeral service to celebrate Ron’s life will be held at Abby’s on Thursday, November 15, 2012 at 11 am with Fr. Jim Kelly officiating. Interment of ashes in M’Chigeeng Cemetery.
