Ronald Albert Sheppard of Rockville died peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Friday February 7, 2014 at the age of 65. Ron was born on January 18, 1949 to Irene (Dearing) and Albert Sheppard of Rockville (both predeceased). Will be forever remembered by beloved wife Carol (Batman). Devoted sons Darcy (wife Heather Verrall), Paul (wife Denise Purvis), Robert(wife Amy Clark). Cherished grandchildren Tyler, Tory, Avery, Lindsay, Garrett and Knox. Dear brother of Goldine (Cyril) Taylor, Gwen (Ed) Bond, Charles (Marion) Sheppard, Sandra (Merwyn) Sheppard and brother-in-law of Sandra Valiquette (Dennis), Tom Batman, Todd Batman (Gwen). Son-in-law of Gerald Batman and Wilhelmine Batman (Ferguson) (predeceased). Loved uncle to many nieces and nephews. Ron was a very patient man with his clients and his children. Visitation was Saturday evening from 7 pm to 9 pm, Sunday afternoon and evening 2 pm to 4 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm. Funeral Service was at 2 pm on Monday, February 10, 2014, all at Island Funeral Home. Cremation. Donations to either Island Hospital Auxiliary or to Pet Save Manitoulin. Arrangements entrusted to Island Funeral Home, Little Current.
