Hwy 542 Mindemoya to Hwy 551 is now open again!
MINDEMOYA – The Manitoulin Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has closed Highway 542 from Mindemoya area to Providence Bay. The reason is due to near zero visibility at the west shore of Lake Mindemoya and severe drifting snow.
The OPP strongly encourages motorists to stay where they are until the weather clears. Most of the province is experiencing severe weather conditions which cause dangerous conditions for motorists.
The OPP will advise when the highway reopens.
