In December she was in Canmore, Alberta training and racing and had a top finish of fifth in one of her races.

Draft plan of new OP complete
GORE BAY—The new final draft of the new Manitoulin Official Plan (OP) has been completed by consultants MMM Group for the Manitoulin Planning Board (MPB) and will be brought forward at a meeting in February.
“I have received the final draft from our consultants,” said MPB Secretary Elva Carter on Tuesday. “I have not reviewed the final plan yet and the board members have not received the new updated plan or had a chance to discuss it as of yet.” However, the board members will be able to review the plan prior to the meeting and to provide input and comments at the February meeting of the MPB.
Ms. Carter pointed out, “the new updated final draft plan will incorporate the changes we had asked for from the ministry (Municipal Affairs and Housing) concerning changes for right-of-ways (development) and deer yard policies.”
“A public meeting will take place in June for the public to view and provide comments on the plan,” said Ms. Carter. “The board is delaying the statutory public meeting so snowbirds and seasonal residents can attend as well.”
Once the public meeting is held, the plan will then go back to municipal councils for them to adopt and send back to the board.
As for the Town of Northeastern Manitoulin and the Islands (NEMI), the process of having their own planning authority/official plan is continuing. Another public meeting will take place on February 2 on this.
