RICHARD “RICK” WILLIAM FRANK ANNING July 30, 1951 – February 16, 2023 It is with great sadness the family of Rick announces his passing at Manitoulin Health Centre in Mindemoya, Ontario on February 16, 2023, at the age of 71. Born to the late William and Maxine (nee Maunder) Anning in East York Township on July 30, 1951, Rick was a devoted husband of 24 years to Lura “Laurie” Anning (nee McGhee). Loving father to Michele (Tom) Duthie, Brandon Anning, Mandee (Jason) Dickson, Catherine (Jason) Haist, Steven (Kayla) Anning and Amber (Andrew) Wood. Proud Grandpa of Aaron Duthie, Caitlyn (Mike) Speaker, Matthew Cornwall, Kyle (Grace) Dickson, Brady Dickson, Lily Anning, Kora Anning, Chantel Haist, Turner Anning, Chloe Haist and Landon Wood. Dear brother of Randy (Janet) Anning and William (Billy) Anning. Cherished brother-in-law of Tammy (Bill) Turner, Heather (Paul) Anderson, Lisa (Paul) Cole, Ken (Teena) Thibeault and Jacquie (Darrell) Brown. Will be missed by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends. Rick was a coach for many years for Special Olympics bowling and baseball, which he enjoyed very much. He loved golfing with Bruce Wiggins and his buddies at the Brookwood Brea Golf Course in Mindemoya. Rick also loved cheering on the Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Blue Jays. Rick will now be watching the games with his dog and best friend Ryder. Rick’s family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and paramedics at Mindemoya Hospital, special thanks to Dr. Doris Mitchell and Dr. Moufak Al Hadi. Cremation has taken place, there will be no services as per Rick’s request. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Manitoulin Special Olympics, Box 86, Mindemoya, Ontario P0P1S0. Arrangements entrusted to Sudbury Park Lawn Cremation Services.
