Rainfall warning in effect for Manitoulin

This weather warning is no longer in effect

Rainfall warning in effect for:

  • Espanola – Killarney
  • Manitoulin Island

Rainfall – early evening to early evening Monday.

Rain, heavy at times is expected. The frozen ground has a reduced ability to absorb this rainfall.

An approaching low pressure system and warm front is expected to bring periods of rain over the next 48 hours resulting in total rainfall amounts of 25 to 35 mm by Monday morning. Rain is expected to be fairly light starting tonight but will become more intense on Sunday and Sunday night.

Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible. Don’t approach washouts near rivers, creeks and culverts. Keep children and pets away from creeks and river banks.

Rainfall Warnings are issued when significant rainfall is expected.
