Providence Bay News and Notes Dec 18

The Christmas Concert at the Providence Bay Hall was a success. Everyone worked so hard to make it a success. Thanks to all who helped.

On the 14th of December the Mindemoya Christmas bird count took place, having counted approximately 43 species, and a 40-year thank you to Chris Bell took place at the evening supper at the Anglican Church.

The Pearson Brothers Memorial Hockey Tournament, January l0 to 12, will raise money for free public skating. Donations for ice time are welcome. Call Darren Dewar at 705-377-5281 or Heather Niven at 705-377-4055.

Mark this on your calendar: there is a Christmas Eve Service at the Community of Christ Church at 7 pm, all are welcome.

Dr. Gerhard and our daughter Kelly Heinrich are grandparents for the first time. They have a beautiful grandson born on December ll in Hamilton. Alexander Patrick Coccamo weighed in at 7 lbs and 2 oz.

The proud parents are Sarah and Paul Coccamo. Congratulations.

Merry Christmas to Mr. and Mrs. David Spencer and their son Ryan. Ryan helps out with the collections at our church.

Hello to Elizabeth Lehman from all of Providence Bay.

Blair Sullivan came for a visit on Saturday and we invited him for supper. We had great conversations on various subjects.

Well folks, how is your Christmas shopping? All done or are you just starting?

We sure have lots of snow this year. Winter curling will begin early in the New Year here in Providence Bay so call if you want to curl.
