The local sidewalks have all been swept by the township and many people are out enjoying walks now that we have warmer weather.
The longer hours of daylight that we’ve been enjoying lately ensures ample time for an after dinner walk on our beautiful boardwalk to watch the sunset.
Happy Birthday wishes go out to Betty Simpson who will be celebrating her 80th birthday on May 2.
We are all looking forward to the inaugural season of the Providence Bay Farmers’ Market. It will feature local vegetables, meats, baking and crafts. The Farmers’ Market will be held every Saturday morning throughout the summer beginning May 18. It will be held outdoors beside the Harbour Centre right down at the beach. Any Manitoulin Island farm-style vendors that are interested can contact them on their Facebook page for more information. Alternatively you can call Ted Smith at 705-282-6255.
