For all the walkers out there, our boardwalk is generously being cleared of snow again this year so get out there and enjoy the boardwalk!

It was a busy weekend in Providence Bay with the Pearson Brothers Memorial Hockey Tournament going on. The King team beat the Pearson team in A final in the sportsmen division. The Wiky Reds beat Gore Bay in the A division in the 35ers division. A good time was had by all.

Quilting will be beginning again in the Twilight Seniors Club in the basement of the Community Hall on Friday, January 18 at 10 am. A light lunch will be provided. All are welcome.

If you’re looking for a night out, then look no further than our local Schoolhouse Restaurant which is hosting a ‘Thai Night’ on Saturday, January 19. Call them for more details or to make reservations at 705-377-4055

The Agricultural Society is already busy planning the annual fair. They want to remind everyone that it always begins the third Friday in August 16-18. They encourage parade entries and have already announced the parade theme this year is “Kids and Critters.” Get planning.
