Well, it seems like for us: April showers bring snowplowers. And since we are on the topic of snowplowers, we’d like to give a shout out to the snowplowers that work so hard to make sure that our roads are cleared and safe for us to get around and about to work, school, appointments and errands all winter long. We appreciate the fact that you are out there plowing and missing family dinners, outings, events or even being out there while we are all snug in our beds. Thank you for the work that you do. This also includes our local volunteers who kept the boardwalk open all winter for the walkers. Thank you.
Our summer migrating birds and summer resident birds are starting to come back, but I’m sure their shaking their tail feathers and wondering what the heck… What’s with all this snow? Perhaps we should all be watching Mother Nature’s bunny rabbits, because they seem to be the smart ones and are staying white until the threat of snow is gone for good!
It seems that there is a mystery in our little village. A garbage bin of Lyle Dewar’s was accidentally destroyed and the person was honourable and informed him of this and offered to replace it. Lyle had declined saying that it was old and due to be replaced anyways. Lo and behold, a newly built one was discovered in the same spot but no one is admitting to building or delivering it. The mystery continues…
Laura Kernohan (nee Oakes) and Miguel Rodriguez Cordero have returned to their summer home on the beach. Welcome back and Merry Christmas… Oh, sorry April Fool’s Day is over but it certainly looks a lot like winter out there.
Pat Young will be celebrating a birthday this coming April 17. If you see her out and about, be sure to give her happy birthday wishes.
