I was talking to a lady by the name of Mrs. Beacock. Please call me, I have some information that you were interested in regarding the Oliver family.

We are sorry to hear that Doug McDermid passed away on Friday. Our prayers and condolences go out to the family. Donna Phillips was very kind to Doug during his illness—thank you Donna.

Curling news: Bob Caddle scored an 8 ender at the Providence Bay Men’s Bonspiel. The team included Jack White, Angus McDonald and Fred Johns. Congratulations.

Ken McDermid is celebrating his 90th birthday. The Providence Bay Curling Club wishes him all the best.

On Sunday, March 23 the Providence Bay Curling Club will be holding its final event of the year. This will include curling, potluck supper and awards given out after supper. Everyone is welcome.

Remember our seniors and veterans. Please check on them during this cold weather.
