MANITOULIN–Some areas of Manitoulin were affected on Monday afternoon by power outages after a high voltage pole was broken in a car accident, Hydro One reports.
The areas of Sheshegwaning, Burpee and Mills, Bidwell north, Allan west, Gordon, Billings, Robinson, Allan east, Barrie Island, Cockburn Island, Central Manitoulin, Gore Bay, Dawson, M’Chigeeng, Howland, Carnarvon, Zhiibaahaasing and Sandfield are all affected.
Crews are currently on scene, working to replace the damaged pole. Residents without power can expect power to return by 7:30 Monday evening.
Hydro One is advising the public to steer clear of downed power lines.
