MANITOULIN—Hydro One has announced that a power outage will take place on Manitoulin this Friday, June 13 from 3 to 6 pm, affecting 797 customers.
The affected areas include Sheshgwaning, Burpee and Mills, Robinson Township, Cockburn Island, Central Manitoulin, Dawson and Zhiibaahaasing.
The cause of the outage is due to a replacement of two transformers at the Lake Wolsey substation, changing power over to a temporary mobile station while the work is completed. Residents of the aforementioned areas can expect another delay in approximately two weeks’ time when the new transformers go online.
