Police seeking information into deer statue vandalism in Manitowaning

deer-vandalism-1MANITOWANING – On Friday July 17, 2015 at around 8:30 am a town employee of the Assiginack Township reported to the Manitoulin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) that sometime overnight, vandalism was done at the Deer Statue adjacent to Highway 6 at the Tourist Information Booth in Manitowaning, Ontario. Police attended and noticed that bright yellow paint had been poured over the metal statue and surrounding area. Police have initiated an investigation into this mischief of property.
