Manitoulin OPP and drug enforcement unit executes
search warrant
The Manitoulin Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Little Current male with drug related offences following a search warrant executed in Little Current on Thursday, December 10.
As a result of a police investigation, officers of the Manitoulin OPP, assisted by the OPP Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau-Drug Enforcement Unit along with the OPP Emergency Response Team and Canine Unit, attended a residence in Little Current. A search warrant was executed and as a result a quantity of marijuana, along with drug paraphernalia and cash was seized.
A 58-yar-old male of Little Current has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking contrary to the controlled drug and substances act, and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
The accused appeared in Ontario bail court on Friday, December 11 in Gore Bay.
