Inquiries and sales will be welcomed as of 7 am by calling 705-210-0290. Doors open at 10 am.
Mark Hope will be in attendance at Perivale Gallery to welcome visitors to his show on Saturday, July 8 from 1 to 5 pm.
With the show title, ‘Catalysts to Conversation,’ Mr. Hope’s intention is to promote the idea of art being both a method of communication and an instigator of conversation. Nothing political or anything like that, but more about conversations focused on light, landscapes, and the beauty that we see but don’t often pay attention to. This mixture of studio and en plein air paintings are from places Mr. Hope has enjoyed visiting in Ontario.
Mr. Hope has been showing at Perivale Gallery for six years and returns to the Island yearly to teach and show at the gallery. He is known mostly for the very popular workshop “Paint Like Tom Thomson and the Group of Seven” and his yearly “en plein air” workshop. “Raw and Wild, A Plein Air Experience with Mark Hope.”
Perivale Gallery is open daily 10 am to 5 pm until September 17.
