PERIVALE—Perivale Gallery, a well-known destination for art in Spring Bay, will be hosting its first Fall Pop-up event this Friday, October 21 and Saturday, October 22 from 10 am to 4 pm.
Winner of numerous Awards of Excellence, Hall of Fame designations and Tourism Innovator of the Year awards, Perivale Gallery is a must-see destination for any art lover and offers a feast for the senses. Representing and promoting a diverse group of exceptional contemporary Canadian fine artists, sculptors and artisans for over 41 years, this eclectic exhibition of original work in a variety of media and styles, is ever-changing and evolving and worth several visits over the season.
Perivale Gallery routinely has a season that runs from the long May weekend to mid-September. This fall, owner Shannon McMullan and her staff are welcoming visitors to enjoy the beautiful fall colours along the way to the gallery, to experience the autumn beauty of the property itself in its stunning park like setting, and to see its outstanding collection of paintings, jewellery, pottery, sculpture, stained glass, blown glass and woodwork.
“We just returned from a month-long visit to Europe: including Spain, France, Italy, Greece, Croatia, Montenegro, Germany and the Netherlands,” Ms. McMullan said in a press release. “Those places were very interesting to visit and have lots to offer, but it has been so wonderful to return home to the magnificent fall colours of Manitoulin Island! There is nowhere more beautiful! We have emptied our storage areas and have put everything out on display.”
“What a beautiful time of year for a road trip to enjoy autumn on the Island,” Ms. McMullan continued. “Perivale Road is especially beautiful on the way to the gallery and the destination is definitely worth the drive. Something for every budget and taste and gift ideas galore, especially before Christmas and year-end corporate art purchases.”
