PAULINE VAN EVERY

PAULINE VAN EVERY (Breathat, Cranston) March 11, 1932 – May 19, 2023 In loving memory of Pauline Van Every (Breathat, Cranston) born March 11, 1932 passed away suddenly May 19, 2023 at the age of 91. Predeceased by her beloved husband William Van Every. Loving mother to Art Breathat (predeceased) (Marilyn) and Peggy Davis (Jim) (both predeceased), Bonnie Patterson (Dave) and Robbie Breathat (Judy). Loving Grandma to Shauna (Vern), Adrienne (Kevin), Nikki (Todd), Nathan (Jaimie), Andrea (Al), Drew, Kristen (Jerry), Cheryl (Aaron), Arthur, Trisha (Aure) and Aaron (predeceased). Beloved great-grandma and great-great-grandma to many. Pauline was the oldest child of the late Hilton and Alma Cranston. Sister to Willy (Bob), John (predeceased) (Shirley), Bob (predeceased) (Doris), Margaret (Bob) (predeceased), Mike (Shirley), Fred (predeceased), Nan (Wendell) (predeceased), Tom (predeceased) (Charlotte). Loved by many nieces and nephews. Pauline was a dedicated woman working hard over the years raising her children, working at Buies grocery store and proudly caring for others throughout her nursing career. Pauline treasured her family home. She kept busy tending to her yard and gardens while making sure “her” deer in the yard were always well fed. Pauline was the heart of her family. Decades of family celebrations took place in her home where the grandkids preformed skits and dances, hours were spent shooting pool and throwing darts, the paper plate number game became tradition and Pauline entertained everyone with her yodeling. Pauline had a love for fishing and spent many hours on Lake Wolsey catching her limit to make a fish feast for herself and her beloved husband Bill. She treasured every moment she spent with family and friends at her favourite spots: the trailer at Mac’s camp and sugar bush in Meldrum with the Van Every clan. When you stopped by for a visit you could guarantee you wouldn’t be leaving the house without a bottle of maple syrup in hand. Family and friends gathered at Simpson Funeral Home, Gore Bay on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 from 10 to11 am. Funeral Service followed at 11am. Burial followed at the Grimesthorpe Cemetery. Luncheon was at the Pentecostal church in Spring Bay. Please share your thoughts, memories and photos at www.simpsonfuneralhome.ca.
