PAUL ELVIN FOX

February 28, 1930 – August 1, 2011

In loving memory of Paul Fox Sr., a resident of Wikwemikong who passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at the Manitoulin Health Centre in Little Current. Paul was born in Kaboni, son of John Fox Jr and Josephine (Osawabine). Paul began his work life in various lumber camps before going on to work on the A.H. Ferbert Freighter. He then went on to work for INCO from where he retired in 1991. After retirement, Paul worked as a medical driver for the Wikwemikong Health Centre. He served the Lord as a Eucharistic Minister and could be found in his pew every Sunday morning at the St. Anthony Daniel Church. Beloved husband of Margaret (McLeod), predeceased 2002. Cherished father of Dan (wife Donna), Vivian, Maurice (Lorraine), Stephen (wife Monica), Paul Jr., Patti Ann, Deirdre (husband Rob), Peter, and special daughter Shirley Shigwadja (David) and special daughter-in-law Brenda Fox. Proud and loving grandfather to 17 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, several god children and many nieces and nephews. Dear brother of Tommy (wife Angeline), Mary, Lloyd (Helen), Edward (wife Dorothy). Predeceased by beloved granddaughter Josette, sisters Marguerite, Ida, baby Rose Kate, brothers Dominic, babies Joseph and Joseph 2nd. Friends and relatives called at the Holy Cross Church on Thursday, August 4, 2011 at 11 am. Funeral Mass was at the Holy Cross Church on Saturday, August 6, 2011 at 11 am. Interment at the Wikwemikongsing Cemetery, Kaboni. Arrangements with Island Funeral Home, Little Current.
