Owl Prowl

The owls are calling! Come join Gordon’s Park, on gorgeous Manitoulin Island, this June 4th, 11th, or 18th for an Owl Prowl to learn all about these majestic hooting friends!

They won’t be delivering any Hogwarts letters, but you’ll learn all about the beautiful species of owls that populate the park  – like resident Barred Owls Jelly & Bean, and their offspring Kit & Kat – and Manitoulin Island, as well as learning about their habitats.

Then take a dusk-lit guided hike to call for the owls and listen for their response. Watch for signs of them, like owl pellets, and have your camera ready to catch some amazing pictures – the owls have been known to swoop overhead from branch to branch, following the hike! Keep your eyes open for other critters too, the park is full of all kinds of wildlife just waiting to be discovered!

To register, call 705-859-2470; for more information, e-mail rita@gordonspark.com or visit the website at www.gordonspark.com and check out the park on Facebook at www.facebook.com/gordonspark.
