OPP lay charges against Sudbury man following April 6 Green Bay house fire

GREEN BAY—The Manitoulin detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one individual in connection with an ongoing arson investigation.

On April 6, shortly after 2 am, the Manitoulin OPP and the Northeastern Manitoulin and the Islands (NEMI) fire department responded to a call of a house fire on Indian Mountain Road.

As a result of the investigation, Todd Ansell, 37, from Sudbury has been charged with arson,damage to property.

The house, belonging to Jacqueline and Claudio Rocca, was levelled in the blaze. No one was in the home at the time of the fire.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Gore Bay on July 2. 

The investigation remains ongoing with the assistance of the Manitoulin Crime Unit.
