Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters donate funds to Manitoulin Streams project

SUDBURY—The Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters Zone D has provided funding to the Manitoulin Streams Improvement Association (MSIA) toward a stream restoration project on the Island.

“We have made a donation of $2,000 to Manitoulin Streams for a creek restoration program they are undertaking,” said Roy Polsky, president of the OFAH Zone D after the group’s recent annual general meeting. 

Seija Deschenes, coordinator of Manitoulin Streams Improvement Association, confirmed that the group received the OFAH funding earmarked for the Grimesthorpe Creek restoration project. The OFAH has supported MSIA projects for several years, as well as providing funds toward the group’s trapping course for youth.
