SUDBURY DISTRICT—The Office of the Chief Coroner of Ontario released its update on opioid-related deaths recently and the news is not good for the Sudbury and Algoma districts.
In the last quarter of 2022, both districts have reported some of the worst statistics for opioid-related deaths.
The Chief Coroners office reported that in the Sudbury and Thunder Bay Districts, both recorded the highest death rates in each, with 56 deaths per 100,000.
