In loving memory of a Nora Leona Hagen, resident of Little Current, who died peacefully at Manitoulin Health Centre on Saturday morning, November 30, 2013 at the age of 96. Predeceased by husband Omer Hagen (1999). Beloved mother of Joan and husband Edsel Park of Sarnia, Kenneth and wife Marilyn of Deep River, Irene and husband Robert Kollee of Grimsby. Cherished grandmother of Corrine Morton, Julie Simpson (Hugh), Brian Park, Robert Hagen (Tina), Donna Bowker (Matthew), Katie Myciak (Lance), Amanda Kollee (Mark Ilton). Proud great-grandmother of Justine and Heather Simpson, Alex and Max Hagen, Mia and Grayton Bowker and Ellis Myciak. Will be greatly missed by Linda, Tony and staff of TLC, her loving and devoted caregivers, and fellow residents of TLC. Nora was a loving family woman, her own family and the church family. She loved to sing, crochet and volunteer to help her community. She had many great memories of the years that she and Omer were “Snowbirds”. Nora worked for many years at Sudbury Memorial Hospital in the nursery, doing what she loved cuddling and taking care of babies. We will miss her optimism, strength, cheerfulness, love of learning and general love of life. Visitation was from 2 pm to 4 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm on Tuesday, December 3, 2013. Funeral Service at 11 am on Wednesday, December 4, 2013; all at Island Funeral Home. Burial at Mountainview Cemetery in the spring.
