No one injured in minor fire in Gordon Township

GORE BAY—The Gore Bay Volunteer Fire Department responded to a fire call on the evening of Tuesday, September 19.

“We could not determine the cause of the fire,” Gore Bay Fire Chief Mike Addison said of the fire which took place at a house in Gordon/Barrie Island township.

“It was a minor fire, there was no serious damage to the home and the lone occupant in the home was not injured,” said Mr. Addison.

“We received a call of the fire at 6:14 pm, that the outside of the house was on fire,” said Mr. Addison. He said the fire was out by the time the firefighters arrived on the scene.
