‘The Sixth Day’ by Catherine Coulter – When several major political figures die mysteriously, officials declare the deaths are from natural causes. However, when the German vice chancellor suddenly dies, a drone is spotted hovering over the scene. This raises questions about all the high-profile deaths. The Covert Eyes Team is tasked to investigate. A good read.
‘Shoot First’ by Stuart Woods – A Stone Barrington Novel – Stone is enjoying a round of golf in Key West when the game is violently interrupted – and it seems as if the target of the disturbance may have been one of his fellow players, the brilliant businesswoman behind a software startup on the cutting edge of technology. Soon it becomes clear that this incident is only the first thrust in a deadly scheme to push the woman out of the way and put her company’s valuable secrets up for grabs. Stone embarks on a quest to protect his new companion while searching for the mastermind at the center of the plot against her. But he may find that her enemy is far more resourceful–and dangerous–than he could have anticipated.
‘Gale Force’ by Owen Laukkanen – Bravery and betrayal are a part of life in the high-stakes world of deep-sea salvage, where an ocean disaster can mean a huge payoff, but only if your team can survive the chase. This is a new author for our library and I think many of our patrons will like this story.
‘The Moscow Offensive’ by Dale Brown – Russia is brandishing a terrifying new weapon, and only the Iron Wolf Squadron, America’s first line of defense, can stop them. The Russians have managed to reverse engineer their own combat robots from the smoldering wreckage of a previous clash, and they are smuggling them across America’s borders, planning to attach from within.
‘Campaign Widows’ by Aimee Agresti – Cady is living the American dream, at least she’s supposed to be. She’s in a new city, with a new job and even a new fiancé. But when her husband-to-be hits the road for the upcoming presidential election, Cady realizes she’s on her own – and that her dream life might not be all she’d imagined.
