MTO outlines planned summer work projects for Manitoulin Island

ONTARIO—The Ministry of Transportation (MTO) has outlined its planned construction work for Manitoulin Island this summer.

Tanya Blazina, senior media relations with MTO told The Expositor in an email June 6, “For the 2024 construction season, the ministry is planning to complete surface treatment repairs in select areas on Highway 542.”

“The ministry will also be monitoring the remaining highways on Manitoulin Island and conducting additional maintenance and repairs if needed,” wrote Ms. Blazina.
