M’CHIGEENG—Manitoulin Secondary School (MSS) cross-country runners continue to post good results at events as they prepare for the North Shore Secondary School Association championship.
Gerry Holliday, a coach of the Mustangs cross-country team, told The Expositor that a total of seven MSS runners took part in the Laurentian University Rumble On the Rock event held in Sudbury last week. In the senior boys’ division, Mustangs runner Brodie Pennie finished in third place over the 5,600 metre run with Alan Wilkin finishing 11th.
The senior girls division saw MSS runner Mackenzie Green in fourth place in the same 5,600 metre run with Morgan Green finishing eleventh.
Xavi Mara finished in third place in the junior boys’ division (5,100 metre run), with Matthew Wilkins in 13th place.
In the novice boys’ division, Wyatt Williamson-Wright was 33rd.
