M’CHIGEENG—James Scott, a Manitoulin Secondary School (MSS) runner, certainly did his best at the Ontario Federation of Secondary School Athletic Association (OFSSAA) championships.
Erin Rose, a coach of the MSS team, told the Recorder on Monday, “James had a great meet. He posted his personal best times in both the 1,500 and 800 metre races.”
Mr. Scott beat his personal best time in the 800 metre race by three seconds with a time of 2:02, and again beat his personal best time, in the 1,500 metre race by four seconds, with a time of 4:16.
He placed a strong 16th in both races at the OFSAA track and field championships held in Windsor, Ontario, last week.
