Welcome back Mustangs! And welcome to any new Mustangs! For those of you that didn’t notice there is a new writer of ‘Kids In The Hall’ this year. For anyone that doesn’t know me, my name is Rachael Orford. Some may recognise me (and my jokes) from a previous column I wrote for The Recorder entitled, ‘Colts Going Strong!’

On Monday, September 10, an assembly was held in the cafeteria. All the staff of MSS were introduced to students. Two guest speakers, Danny Lamb and Em Jordan were present for the assembly. Danny Lamb sang for the students and staff before speaking about inclusivity, accessibility and how words have power. Em Jordan sang a few songs including her latest single, ‘House of Cards.’

Also on Thursday, September 13, a video was played during lunch period for students. The video was advertising the Full Value Fitness Challenge fundraiser that is going to be held on September 29 at MSS. Proceeds will go to support local Pee-Wee and Atom Panther Hockey.
