MSS golf team qualifies for Northern Ontario championship

M’CHIGEENG—A very young Manitoulin Secondary School (MSS) Mustangs golf team qualified for the Northern Ontario championships, with their efforts at the North Shore Secondary School Association (NSSSA) playdowns.

NSSSA was held at the Rainbow Ridge Golf Club in Manitowaning last week, where the MSS boys placed second among eight teams. Lisa Addison, coach of the team, pointed out, “our boys team, who are made up of all Grade 9 students, qualified for NOSSA (Northern Ontario Secondary School) championships.” The team posted an overall score of 398 to place second in the tournament.

The MSS boys’ team includes Carter Abottosaway, Parker Hall, Ben Marshall, Boston Thibault and Eric Varey.
