MANITOULIN—With the arrival of spring and the shrinking of snow cover, herds of deer are wandering out of their winter yards in increasing numbers. The Expositor has heard numerous reports of close encounters of the cervidae kind and wishes to remind motorists to take special care at this time of year.
Watch out for deer, especially near dawn and dusk when visibility is reduced. A collision with one of our four-legged neighbours would be a bad way to start or end a day.
