Motorcycle collision closes Hwy 6 near Tehkummah for five hours

(TEHKUMMAH TOWNSHIP, ON) – At approximately 3:35 p.m. on Monday, June 13, 2016, members of the Manitoulin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a single vehicle collision involving a motorcycle on King’s Highway 6, in Tehkummah Township. 

A 68 year old man from Orangeville, Ontario was transported to hospital with life threatening injuries. 

The highway was closed for approximately five hours while OPP Technical Collison Investigators (TCI) completed their scene investigation and determined driver error was a contributing factor to the collision.
