Moses Migwans, a resident of the Wikwemikong Nursing Home and formerly of M’Chigeeng, passed away at the Wikwemikong Nursing Home on Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at the age of 47 years. He was born in Mindemoya, son of the late Israel and Myrtle Francis (Trudeau) Migwans. Moses had worked in construction before his accident that left him confined to a wheelchair. He enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting, playing ball, horseshoes and cross country, but his passion was playing hockey. Moses is survived by his loving and loved son Jonathan, (friend Ashley) of M’Chigeeng and his daughter Angel Corbiere, (friend John) of Sudbury. Proud grandfather of Neilah and Navin. Will also be sadly missed by God Daughter Nicole Migwans Fox. Predeceased by son Kyle Trudeau. Moses was predeceased by brother Jerry, Gabriel, Chester and Gary and sisters Mary Jane, Bertha and Hazel. He is the loving and loved brother of Cheyenne (Cecile) of M’Chigeeng, Duke (Charlene) of M’Chigeeng, Pearl (Howie Southcote) of M’Chigeeng, Julie (Gordon Wemigwans) of Wikwemikong, Alfreda Blackwind of Toronto, Martina (Gary Mandamin) of M’Chigeeng, Jeanette (David Scott) of M’Chigeeng, Patricia of Sudbury, Amy Mae of M’Chigeeng and Cecile (Marvin) of Toronto. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call at Saswaahns Spiritual Centre after 3 p.m. on Thursday. The funeral mass to celebrate Moses’ life was held at Immaculate Conception Church, M’Chigeeng on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Jim Kelly as celebrant.
