MORDEN EARL LEESON

MORDEN EARL LEESON Morden Earl Leeson, a man who delighted in his life and family, held on to both as long as anyone could. Morden Leeson passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at the Manitoulin Health Centre hospice in Mindemoya, with his beloved wife Bertha close to his side. A tireless farmer, avid outdoorsman, astute businessman and self-taught jack-of-all trades, Morden was above all else a devoted family man who took immeasurable pride watching his children grow and thrive and start families of their own. He loved to laugh and to make people laugh and was always ready with a story about one of his many adventures. Morden made an 11-year journey since his cancer diagnosis, yet remained optimistic until his very last days and his heart was warmed by the visits and well-wishes from family and friends. Much-loved son of the late Earl Leeson and Eileen Leeson. Morden will be dearly missed by Bertha and by his children, Ben (Susan), Luke, Shauna (Jason) and Jesse (Lacey), and by the many grandchildren who brought him so much joy. Special thanks to the staff at the Northeast Cancer Centre in Sudbury, the MHC in Mindemoya and Assiginack Family Health Team, especially the doctors and nurses whose care and compassion in a difficult time did not go unnoticed. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Manitoulin Health Centre Hospices are greatly appreciated. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 1, 2023 with his Internment at Hilly Grove Cemetery at 2 pm.
